Science Atlantic (formerly APICS, the Atlantic Provinces Council on the Sciences) is a charitable association of 18 post secondary and research institutes in Atlantic Canada with a mandate to advance science education and research at the undergraduate level.
This year's Environment Conference, hosted by St. FX, and Aquaculture & Fisheries and Biology Conference, hosted by MSVU, through Science Atlantic were held March 14- 16.Â
Seven students from the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus participated. In Aquaculture & Fisheries the students were Yue Guo, Stephanie Hall, Ling Feng, Yangfan Zhang and Elizabeth Baker. In the Biology section the students were Connie van den Heuvel and Jakob Vogel. Â
Jakob won thrid prize for his presentation “ Effect of exposure to individual ration components on feed sorting behaviour of dairy heifers.â€
"It was great to see so many of our students take part in this Atlantic conferece and represent us well,"said Tarjei Tennessen. "They all did us proud."
