June 21 is National Aboriginal Day.
National Aboriginal Day is a day for all Canadians to recognize and celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples.ÌýÌý The year 2017 marks the 20th anniversary of National Aboriginal Day.
Did you know.. The Faculty of Agriculture has a Manager, Aboriginal Students.Ìý In this position, Art Stevens works to help foster Aboriginal student success by providing specialized advising and support. Additionally, he assists faculty and staff to create a welcoming and inclusive campus environment.
Art has worked on a number of Aboriginal initiatives including the recent permanent installation of the Mi’kmaq Grand Council flag and the re-naming of River road to Sipu Awti.
